Contrast neck tomography

  1. If the tomography is contrasted, you must have a fasting period of at least 6 hours.

  2. Submit the creatinine result no more than 20 days after the test.

  3. If you have an allergy to iodinated contrast medium or any medication or food, you must inform the diagnostic aid service personnel.

  4. Do not wear metallic elements or jewelry that interfere with the images.

  5. You must remove your glasses and dentures.

  6. If you are pregnant or think you are pregnant, the diagnostic aid staff should be informed.

  7. If the tomography is contrasted, you can take the medications for your underlying disease with little water intake, if you are taking METFORMIN it should be suspended 48 hours before the tomography.

  8. You must attend the exam with a companion who is of legal age, who has available time and is receptive to receiving the information and recommendations.

  9. You must present: medical order, clinical history, previous radiological studies, authorization from the EPS or insurer.
