Puncture biopsy of the spleen
 
  • Bring complete medical history and previous related studies.

  • Bring blood count results and coagulation tests less than 15 days after being performed.

  • 6 hour fast.

  • You can take the medicines you take for your underlying diseases, except anticoagulant medicines (warfarin, Rivaroxaban, Enoxaparins, Apixaban, among others). These medicines must have the approval of your treating doctor to suspend them and present the clinical history in which the specialist provides recommendations for the suspension of the drug and reinitiation of these.

  • Inform if you take natural medicines, in order to verify that they do not interfere with coagulation and avoid possible bleeding.

  • If you are being treated with thromboprophylactic medications such as: ASA, low molecular weight heparin, you should ask your treating physician when to stop and restart the medication.

  • You must attend in comfortable, easy-to-remove clothing.

  • You must attend with a mask, if you or your companion have respiratory symptoms please do not come to the appointment.

  • Arrive 20 minutes before the appointment.
