FOR PROCEDURES
percutaneous nephrostomy
 
  • Bring complete medical history and previous related studies.

  • Bring blood count results and coagulation tests less than 15 days after being performed.

  • Fasting for 6 hours, in case the procedure is in the afternoon hours you can ingest aromatic or panela water with cookies 6 hours before the procedure.

  • If you have anticoagulant medications such as warfarin, Rivaroxaban, Apixaban, these must be suspended 5 days before the procedure

  • If you have thromboprophylactic drugs as treatment such as: ASA, low molecular weight heparin, these must be suspended 24 hours before the procedure.

  • Inform the admissions staff at the time of assigning the appointment if you are pregnant or suspected of being pregnant, in order to inform the interventional radiologist in a timely manner and define what is most recommended for the couple.

  • You must attend in comfortable, easy-to-remove clothing.

  • You must attend with a mask, if you or your companion have respiratory symptoms please do not come to the appointment.

  • Arrive 20 minutes before the appointment.
