The Astorga Oncology Clinic expands its care area with the opening of new services in the Salud Vegas Medical Tower on floors 7, 8, 9 and basement 2. In this way, presenting larger spaces with great lighting, which contain a view panoramic view of the city of Medellín, which facilitates the recovery and treatment of hospitalized patients, since we offer them the option of breathing fresh air by having gardens in each of the roomssuites.

Diagnostic images (basement 2)

Taking into account the need to make an appropriate diagnosis for our patients, the Astorga Oncology Clinic opens its new diagnostic imaging service in the second semester of 2022 with state-of-the-art technology. 

 

We have specialized equipment that delivers images that are clearer and easier for our specialists to visualize and interpret. With this, we have managed to reduce the risk of providing a wrong analysis and, therefore, increase the possibility of providing the patient with a more appropriate treatment and in accordance with his pathology. 

 

In addition, we have the advanced PACS software, which links to the cloud, which allows the digital storage, distribution, reading, transmission and download of DICOM or radiological images.

Operating rooms (8th floor)

The surgery service of the Astorga Oncology Clinic is responsible for performing surgical procedures in spacious and modern facilities. We have 4 operating rooms equipped with high-tech equipment, one of them is lead, indicated for safer and more reliable surgeries. Additionally, the Clinic has expert professionals in each of the specialties.

Hospitalization (floor 7 and 9)

The hospital service is willing to provide an excellent service thanks to the fact that it has highly qualified personnel, as well as advanced technology and an infrastructure with modern and comfortable facilities. 

 

We have 32 individual rooms, they have a hospital bed, closet, bathroom, air conditioning system, sofa bed for the companion, televisionsmart, internet access and nursing call system, guaranteeing the comfort of the patient and his family. 

 

Of the 32 single-person rooms, 13 are roomssuites, which have access to a private garden so that patients and their loved ones perceive a country atmosphere.

Recovery: UCI and UCE (7th floor)

The intensive and special care units have 8 individual cubicles equipped with high technology and a nursing station for the care and timely surveillance of our patients. 

 

The unit has 4 intensive care cubicles and 4 special care cubicles, which are equipped with: modular central column with electrical connections, multi-parameter monitors connected to a monitoring center located in the nursing station, hospital bed, air system conditioning, sofa bed for the companion, televisionsmart, internet access, nursing call system and mechanical ventilator if required. In addition, all our cubicles have great natural lighting and an excellent view to the outside.

It consists of three well-equipped offices with competent professionals.

• Central Sterilization (8th floor)

It has high-quality equipment that, together with operational personnel, guarantee the efficiency and effectiveness of the sterilization process.
